The Opportunity:
The Senior Manager, Retail & Wholesale Sales will be responsible for managing and growing Caraway’s retail and wholesale partner accounts. You will participate in both the overall retail, wholesale, and business development strategies while leading the sales, relationship management, and business development for current and new retail channels. This role will be engaged with all accounts with a specific focus on small-medium retail accounts as the primary sales lead while supporting larger accounts and business development activities in collaboration with senior leadership. Additionally, you’ll play a vital role in strategic planning, reporting, and business and channel development strategies and execution.

Responsibilities:
Retail Partner Management:
- Act as the primary sales & account management lead for Caraway’s small-medium retail accounts, ensuring consistent engagement and growth.
- Proactively manage and build relationships with all retail partners, handling day-to-day communication, support, training, sales, marketing, and all account needs.
- Partner with the Chief Strategy Officer on larger retail accounts, as well as, retail and business development support, execution, and strategy.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute sales plans to drive revenue and brand awareness across retail channels.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, tailored to each retail partner, that effectively communicate Caraway's brand values, products, and sales goals.
- Analyze sales performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations to refine strategies, merchandising, marketing, and enhance sales effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the Caraway team to develop and implement a comprehensive merchandising strategy for retail, ensuring alignment with brand goals and customer needs.
Business Development & Channel Expansion:
- Support the Chief Strategy Officer in identifying and pursuing new retail channel opportunities, partners, sales channels, etc, and contributing to business development initiatives.
- Assist in developing channel-specific sales plans and promotional strategies to expand Caraway’s retail footprint.
- Participate in the preparation and execution of business proposals, sales presentations, and other collateral needed for new and existing retail and business development partnerships.
Sales Support & Administration:
- Handle the preparation of presentation materials, sales reports, and other documents required for effective selling and relationship management, as well as internal reporting.
- Streamline sales processes. Drive strong execution of new account and program set up, and ongoing management on all retail, wholesale, and business development programs. Ensure all retail-related information is current, organized, and accessible to the sales team and relevant stakeholders.
- Leverage data analytics to drive insights and actionable strategies, optimizing product assortment and enhancing overall performance.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- 6+ years of experience in sales or account management, ideally within the retail or consumer goods industry.
- Proven experience with managing retail partner accounts, with a strong understanding of the home goods or lifestyle products market.
- Excellent presentation skills with an eye for detail and the ability to tailor content to various retail audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Data-driven and analytical mindset, with a solid understanding of retail sales metrics.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and across departments.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive approach to identifying and solving business challenges.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 - Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors determining the base pay at offer, including but not limited to: skills, qualifications, experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
