The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Jr. Designer, Packaging, to join our Creative team to develop and execute a range of design projects around branded packaging design and print-related marketing materials. Reporting to the Senior Designer, Print, the Jr. Designer, Packaging, would work closely with a variety of stakeholders including marketers, external vendors, and other designers on delivering print-ready product packaging and in-box marketing materials.
Who You Are:
The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling with exceptional skills in typography, layout design, and delivering pixel-perfect assets with a focus on print design (packaging, direct mailers, OOH) and experiential (retail displays, in-store/event signage). This role requires experience leading packaging design projects from concept to final dieline proofing, establishing and maintaining brand identity, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-quality packaging and print materials to market.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute high-quality, print-ready product packaging, including in-box print marketing collateral, and retail assets & displays
- Support the Senior Designer, Print, on new product packaging development, conducting necessary design research, retail shelf assessments, and managing internal creative asset libraries
- Help maintain and evolve Caraway’s visual brand guidelines by ensuring consistency across all print packaging and offline creative output (mailers, OOH, retail signage, etc.)
- In collaboration with the Production Designer, prepare production-ready files and support project handoff processes to the necessary internal stakeholders and/or external vendors
- Working knowledge of pre-press production processes (dieline setups, Pantone color systems, proofing, etc.) to ensure final production matches design intent
- Tackle ad hoc creative projects as needed: developing internal creative documents, 3D packaging mockups, designing custom assets for brand partnerships or events, etc
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- 2-3+ years of design experience (in-house or agency), ideally with a consumer-facing brand or product-centric company
- Proficient in the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, AfterEffects, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere) and related web design tools (Figma)
- Strong organizational skills, keen eye for detail, and ability to manage multiple projects at once
- You work well in a team as well as alone

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 - Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors determining the base pay at offer, including but not limited to: skills, qualifications, experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
