The Opportunity:
The Associate Art Director is a creative powerhouse responsible for developing and shaping the visual identity of the Caraway brand across various touchpoints, including marketing campaigns, digital touchpoints, and art direction for still & motion creative. This role bridges strategy and execution, ensuring cohesive storytelling and a premium brand experience.

The Associate Art Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and execute creative that will fuel impactful campaigns, product launches, and provide on-set (and occasionally remote) art direction for photo and video productions, motion graphics, illustrations, and 3D renders. In addition, this role will operate as part of a broader team of designers, maintaining high design standards, and continuously modernizing existing design systems, creative frameworks, brand guidelines, and templates for high velocity marketing channels.

This role will report directly to the Art Director and will be a remote position with requirements to be on set in NYC as needed (~2-3 times per month).

Who You Are:
You are a motivated creative professional with experience dreaming up creative ideas for cutting–edge integrated marketing campaigns that can see the vision through from pre- to post-production. You are a strategically minded creative with a sharp eye for design and a passion for storytelling through visual experiences. With a background in developing campaign creative, brand development, and digital design, you know how to take strategic marketing plans and translate them into compelling, cohesive visual narratives that resonate with customers and elevate Caraway’s brand presence.

You’re a creative savant that is equally comfortable working on a large commercial set as you are by yourself with only a photographer at your side. Thinking through impactful shot lists & deliverables come second nature to you. You’re energized by the opportunity to continuously refine and optimize creative plans for the greatest impact. You're naturally curious — always asking how we can make things stronger, smarter, and more effective.

A collaborative partner at heart, you work seamlessly with marketers, copywriters, and cross-functional teams to bring campaigns to life. While you take initiative and lead the visual direction, you're also comfortable receiving input and evolving ideas in real time.
