The Opportunity:
Caraway Home is looking for a temporary, 4 month in-house contract Senior Recruiter to help us get through our busy hiring season, 32-40 hours a week, potential to extend contract length. This role will be key in optimizing our recruiting process and helping to execute our company’s talent acquisition strategy to help shape our workforce. Reporting to the VP of People, you will own the recruiting process from end to end including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring high-caliber candidates. The Senior Recruiter will drive the overall process through clear and proactive communication, a thorough understanding of our business and team needs, and will partner closely with hiring managers and leaders to deeply understand workforce objectives and capacity to strategically grow the organization with high-impact candidates who align with our company culture and values.
Who You Are:
You're an experienced recruiting professional in the DTC or Consumer Product Goods space and love getting candidates excited about joining your organization. You’re tech savvy and enjoy finding unique profiles for open roles. You’re self motivated and autonomous, and can quickly jump from hands-on, detail-oriented work to coaching and advising hiring managers across the organization at any point in the recruitment process. You thrive in a fast paced environment, have sound strategic decision making, and a knack for understanding what hiring managers are looking for in their next hire. You’re adamant about taking a proactive, data driven approach to recruiting and understanding of workforce needs to ensure informed recommendations to hiring managers and people team leadership, as well as to increase the efficiency of the recruiting process as a whole.. The ideal candidate is a charismatic and empathetic individual and enjoys engaging with, and mentoring, folks internally and externally to the organization.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment:
- Implement and refine recruitment strategies that meet organizational needs, focusing on the quality, speed, and efficiency of the hiring process. Own the end to end recruiting process from hiring plan to offer acceptance
- Partner cross functionally with People Operations, Finance, and leadership to understand resourcing requirements and identify connections between hiring needs, capacity, and growth goals
- Utilize a variety of sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals, to identify and engage potential candidates
- Conduct thorough screenings and interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit. Provide detailed feedback and recommendations to hiring managers
- Partner with hiring managers and department heads to understand their hiring needs and create tailored recruitment plans
- Ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact to offer acceptance
- Develop and implement comprehensive recruiting strategies to attract top talent for various positions across the company
- Stay updated on industry trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor hiring practices to inform recruitment strategies and ensure Caraway Home remains competitive
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the JazzHR, our ATS, and generate reports on recruitment metrics and KPIs
- Promote Caraway Home’s brand and values to attract top talent and enhance our reputation as an employer of choice
- Continuously assess and improve recruitment processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, with a proven track record of successfully filling a wide range of positions in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have recruiting experience in the consumer goods, home goods, or DTC industry
- Experience with workforce planning and capacity understanding
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth understanding of recruiting best practices, employment laws, and industry trends.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify trends, analyze data, and make data-driven recommendations based on recruiting data
- Exceptional problem solving skills, decision making, advisement, and mentorship
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (JazzHR preferred), HR software, and G-suite.
- Experience presenting company wide trainings, initiatives, or programs, preferred
The anticipated hourly rate for this role is $50/hr - $60/hr.
